Near Baia Sardinia is also the ‘Paduli Saloni natural oasis’, a 30 hectares freshwater pond, in front of the gulf of Cannigione, rich in flora and fauna, including some rare species.
If you choose to delve into the Gallurese culture, a typical attraction are the Stazzi self sufficient settlements of farmers and shepherds created between the 1600’s and 1700’s, where you can try the local gastronomy and experience the Gallurese hospitality.
And this is not all, Northern Sardinia and the Arzachena area in particular, offer a wide range of archeological itineraries inside a park consisting of 8 sites, between Tombs of Giants and Nuraghes. The best beaches in Baja Sardinia
The coast of Baia Sardinia includes several big beaches or hidden coves, all with crystal clear waters, some public, some equipped with facilities.
Cala Battistoni is the beach around which Baia Sardinia was born. A comfortable beach equipped with facilities. Thanks to tiny granite rocks it takes on a reddish hue that seems even brighter against the sea.
Cala dei Ginepri
Cala dei Ginepri beach is located on the provincial road Cannigione-Baja Sardinia. It is a small cove overlooking the gulf of Arzachena, perfect for those who love privacy and silence.
Situated in the locality of the same name, in the municipality of Arzachena. A small cove with a shallow and sandy bottom, suitable for children, and with a small dock. It is especially popular among windsurfing and diving enthusiasts. Cala Bitta is equipped with several facilities and it is possible to rent beach umbrellas, loungers and paddle boats.
Porto Sole beach is located towards the edge of Forte Cappellini. It is a big beach on the gulf of Arzachena, easily accessible from the parking lot via a pathway.
