The purpose of Giovanna Palimodde in decorating the two Country Suites, was the one of telling the identity of a community through the objects and materials which were typical of its life and daily activities.
The suite is divided in two separate rooms, the bedroom with an in built double bed and the living room with a sitting room and a fireplace (in one suite only). These suites have a view over the aromatic vegetable garden and have an exclusive outside sitting room, with private pool and hammock, on a large terrace next to the fascinating Terrazza dell'Orto.
The typical beams of juniper, symbol of the Supramonte with its twisted suggestive form, run in the ceiling while floors feature white resin materials.
The "Orbace", a typical cloth of the sardinian tradition, as well as leather and wool elements that characterize pastoral life in Sardinia, have been revisited in the Botteghe D'Arte of Su Gologone and utilized to create an antique and elegant atmosphere. The decors have been carved by refined local carpenters.

In the Executive Suite Ciusa, the contemporary sardinian artist lives again in the several works that embellish the rooms.
Designed by Giovanna Palimodde, inspired by the work of the contemporary artist, the Suite Executive Ciusa is divided in two separate areas, the night zone with double bed and the dayzone with living room.
All the decor elements are unique and created by the artisans of the Botteghe d’Arte Su Gologone Style: Giovanna Palimodde was inspired by the geometrical motifs which are a typical trait in the works of the artist of Nuoro. The production was made by the learned hands of the embroiders of our Botteghe.
Outdoor a large terrace is available with a Philippe Starck bathtub for two.

TheSu Gologone Hotel is a 4 Star Experience Hotel located in Oliena, in the countryside of Supramonte, in the heart of Sardinia. At the crossroad between tradition, modernity and arts, the Su Gologone Hotel reflects the authenticity of this land down to the last detail.
The hotel places at the guests' disposal an outdoor pool that uses the water of the Su Gologone spring, two jacuzzis surrounded by olive trees, and a Fitness Center with Technogym equipment. Futhermore, there is a charming beauty-farm and gazebo by the pool for beauty treatments and massages. Upon request, individual or group yoga lessons may be organized.
Each of the 68 rooms of the Su Gologone Hotel is a small work of art. From Standard rooms to Art Suites, all the rooms are embellished by juniper wood details, textiles and precious paintings. They all feature air conditioning, an en suite bathroom and a LED TV. The Art Suites and the Junior Art Suites are dedicated to 1900s Sardinian artists. The typical Sardinian furniture placed in all the rooms are crafted at the Art Boutiques of Su Gologone, that is 6 laboratories of ceramics, embroidery, jewels, painting, iron and wood. By reservation only, it is possible ti participate in creative courses.
The traditional hotel Restaurant will give you the opportunity to try the authentic flavors and smells of Sardinian cuisine, to discover ancient technics to bake break, prepare home made pasta and meat on the grill. In the Nido del Pane (Bread Nest) focaccia bread is baked and seasoned with herbs ad vegetables from the hotel garden, while in the Laboratorio della Pasta 12 types of pasta are prepared by hand every day and, for a minimum of 5 people, daily cooking classes are organized.
The Su Gologone Hotel also features three bars: besides the Bar Gazebo by the pool, you can decide to combine relaxation and culture at the Bar dell'Arte, with its arts exhibitions in the inner halls, or admire the Supramonte at night from the Bar Magico Tablao during the Happy Hour or after dinner, sipping a pleasant infusion or an after dinner drink, such as a local liquor.
The wonderful Terrazza dei Sogni is perfect to relax in the evenings trying aperitifs and appetizers while admiring the starry sky, with the help of telescopes and special cameras. The Terrazza dei Desideri is also great for an evening aperitif and is used for Yoga classes in the morning.
The hotel also features many entertainment activities and facilities: the Wine Bar, with special tastings of wines, oil and cheeses, the Winery where you can try a selection of great local wines, the Charcuterie, where you can try local cold cuts, the Tea Room, to taste dozens of teas and infusions, the Boutiques of Artists and local artisans that are located inside the old stables, the local Art Itineraries, Exhibitions and Displays, theArt-Gallery and the Itineraries of aromatic herbs with 50 herbs varieties of the Mediterranean maquis.
For sports lovers, Su Gologone places at your disposal, free of charge, synthetic grass tennis court, the football court, table tennis, pool table, playground and mini-golf course.
